The Customer Service Department is responsible for signing up new customers for service, collecting bill payments, aid to construction, tap fees, impact fees, transfer of services and customer inquiries about their Utility Account.

Bill Payment
Bills can be paid via mail, automatic bank draft, or at the Customer Service Office located at 508 South Jefferson Street in Athens. Bills can also be paid at Superior Bank in Elkmont and First American Bank in Ardmore. Beginning April 1st, 2008 payments will also be accepted at the Reliance Bank on Capshaw Road in Harvest and the Reliance Bank on County Line Road in Madison.
Athens Utilities accepts Cash, Checks, and Visa (Jefferson Street Office Only).
Currently, we do not offer online bill payment.
You also may be able to make Utility Payments via your bank or credit union's Online Services. Please check with your bank or credit union to see if they offer this service.
